In class group 3 google docs assignment 11/2/2010 document, presentation, and form.

Below is my Google Search Story. My goal was to give the viewer a glimpse into what it is like for me do do homework. I used the example of a middle school research project about bunnies. I start out on track but then become distracted by other things. In the end, I get back on track. If Google allowed for more frames, I would have shown spelling errors and how songs will pop into my head and then I must look it up to listen to it or read the lyrics, of course. Then, I might read about the singer or song writer or background of the song. Eventually, I remember I'm supposed to be doing homework. My biggest disappointment in creating this was with the technical difficulties by Google and youtube. I had to create it at least five times because Google kept losing my information as I edited it. It only allows 7 frames which is understandable if they're trying to keep them short. It also had limited Google options such as websearch, images, maps, etc. It only had about 7 of these as opposed to the long list which is actually offered by Google. For instance, I wanted to search "rabbits" under the "Videos" tab, but videos were not an option. I think they also should have forewarned that a youtube account is required even if you have a Google account.

This is the log sheet for my TE placement.

This video reminds me of Gardner's Multiple Intelligences Being valued by society does not have to exclusively include having a high IQ. We each have various talents and abilities which we can use to contribute to society. Every position is valuable because we depend on each other. We need cashiers just as much as much as we need the president.
